I can not say I intended to become designer. I am a gardener : in love with plants since I am 14 years old. Self-made man, I work for my company for more than 30 years. I plant and lay out urban landscape. In 1970, I conceive a range of hangings baskets, double-walled and with wavelets, created for the wellness of the plant. As I could not draw, I did cut by myself a bloc of polystyrene, with a knife and flame stove. Since then, this form of flower container has been around the world. I won the bet : let the butterflies get back into the city. 

Graduated of the University for Gardens' Architecture in Paris (Ecole Supérieure des Jardins de Paris), my job allows me to associate my 2 passions : plants and the space. As I was a young girl, I used to draw plans, I was imagining spaces....my bedroom was full of pots, I let grow all I was founding : fruits seeds, grass, weeds. As I was studiyng in Paris, I gained knowledge : learning how to look, how to appreciate the balance of a composition, understanding how a space is organised, understanding its weaknesses, its potential.
